PLAN FOR CONTINUOUS TRAINING
Internal Training (TESEO)
TESEO is an ambitious two year in-house training programme designed with the needs of our most junior lawyers in mind, and is open to anyone else in the Firm who feels they may benefit from it. The programme, which is organized and funded by the Firm, has been designed to equip each individual with the skills set necessary to face and successfully achieve their personal career goals.
National and international external training
We encourage our lawyers to attend educational and informative courses, seminars and conferences organised by prestigious institutions in Spain, allowing you to specialise in specific or innovative areas, and allowing you to maintain contact with both the academic and professional communities.
This allows specialisation in specific or cutting edge matters, and promotes permanent contact with the academic and professional world through courses, seminars and conferences given by prestigious institutions.
We know that a good professional should retrain and we take it into consideration in the career plans we design for each lawyer. After several years of practising, we understand that it is necessary to stay updated or to study certain matters in which one works in depth. At PEREZ-LLORCA, we believe in your career and we support this process in different ways:
Financial support: we finance, fully or partially, postgraduate studies or masters, as long as the interest and commitment between the professional and the Firm are mutual.
Recommendations: we provide individual and institutional references in order to facilitate admission in the programme of your choice.
Support groups: we put those who are interested in touch with groups of lawyers, partners and/or alumni, who have had the same concerns and went through the same experience, so that they can serve as a guide.
DELEGATION AND MENTORING
At PEREZ-LLORCA, your work will be supervised at all times by an experienced lawyer, thereby making the most of your aptitudes and helping you in the areas in which you need to improve. Despite this, you will have the opportunity to take on responsibilities from the start.
Secondments:
You will be given the opportunity to participate in our international placement scheme and spend a period of time in a highly regarded law firm in Europe or America.
Multilateral Trainings:
You will be able to attend courses and seminars abroad, organised by other firms with which we collaborate and which invite our lawyers to participate in their training programmes.
Possibilities to collaborate on CSR activities
Through our CSR project, and in particular through Pro Bono, we want to help, directly or indirectly, the most underserved members of society, with some very clear objectives in mind. From our perspective we want to (i) be able to fulfil our ethical duty to serve society, and (ii) allow the lawyers to fulfil their solidarity commitment. One of our objectives is to help create a fair and equitable legal system. In our opinion, it is a part of the moral and ethical duty of being a lawyer.
In order to centralize and manage all of this work, we have set up a Pro Bono Committee, which analyses all of the petitions for work and then assigns them to the professionals who lead these projects. You can collaborate with the projects underway by helping, for example, to better the social and labour integration of groups with difficulties, give legal advice to foundations, etc.
