Law degree and PhD, both with Honours, from the Universidad Complutense (Madrid). He is a professor of Procedural Law and Arbitration at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Madrid), and for the Masters in Business law at the Carolina Foundation. David was the Director of the Centre for Studies and Research of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM). His working languages are Spanish and English. He is also well versed in French.
Career
David has more than twenty years of professional experience and he is well known in the field of international and national arbitration in both institutional and ad hoc procedures. At an international level, he regularly participates as arbitrator and counsel in important arbitrations administered by the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC) and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). As regards domestic arbitration, he often appears before entities such as the Arbitration Court of Madrid (CAM), the Commercial and Civil Arbitration Court (CIMA) and the Barcelona Arbitration Tribunal (TAB). He also participates as arbitrator and/or counsel in ad hoc arbitrations under UNCITRAL and other regulations.
In addition, David has broad experience in complex commercial litigation. His clients are international companies which belong to many different sectors such as energy, engineering, industry, telecommunications, construction, insurance and banking.
