Law degree from the Universidad Complutense (Madrid), 1997. Degree in Geography and History from the Universidad Autónoma (Madrid), 1998. Certificate in EU Law from the University San Pablo CEU (Madrid), 1998. Admitted to the Spanish Advocate's Office (Cuerpo de Abogados del Estado) in 2001. He lectures for the Masters in Telecommunications Law at the Centro Universitario Villanueva as well as for the Masters in Tax and Banking at the Garrigues Studies Center since 2007. His working languages are Spanish, English, French and German.
Career
Juan joined PEREZ-LLORCA as a Counsel in May 2011. His career began in 2001 at the Spanish State Advocate’s Office (Abogacía del Estado) and was later assigned the position of State Advocate (Abogado del Estado) at the Ministry of Interior. He also held the position of Legal Adviser in the Directorate General of Security, Disarmament and Terrorism at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before joining the Firm, Juan had acted as Agent of the Kingdom of Spain before the ECJ (since 2004) and had provided legal advice to the main Spanish Regulatory Agencies (CMT, CNC, CNMV, CNE and CSN) on EU Law.
