Profile

Isabel Lira joined the firm in 2008 as an associate and has been a partner since 2021. Her practice focuses on advising project companies and financial institutions on the development and financing of infrastructure projects in Peru, with experience in the energy, transport, irrigation and water transfer sectors.

• Lawyer, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2009).

She speaks Spanish and English.

Experience

Isabel has extensive experience in developing projects under various legal frameworks, including private investment, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Government-to-Government (G2G) agreements, as well as in the drafting and negotiation of design, construction, and operation and maintenance (O&M) contracts. She has represented parties in domestic and international arbitrations relating to infrastructure projects, including complex construction disputes. She also has experience in competition law, having represented private parties in cases involving collusion and abuse of a dominant position in sectors such as natural gas, rail transport, medical gases and telecommunications. Previously, she worked as an international associate at Allen & Overy in New York between 2013 and 2014.
