Profile

Claudia Lucena joined the firm in 2008 as an associate and has been a partner since 2013. She heads the firm’s property practice, specialising in providing comprehensive advice on property development in both urban and rural areas.

Studies:

• Lawyer, Universidad de Lima (1997).

She speaks Spanish and English.

Experience

Claudia has extensive experience in physical and legal due diligence, valuation and negotiation processes relating to the acquisition of land and rights over it, permits and licences for the development and operation of property projects, registration procedures and the structuring of security interests. She is also involved in the drafting, negotiation and execution of civil and commercial contracts, as well as in litigation relating to her area of specialism. She has advised companies from various sectors on property and land matters.

Academic and Publishing Collaborations

Claudia is the author of several articles published in specialized journals and national and international media. She is a speaker at national conferences on Real Estate Law and participates as a speaker and moderator in Latin American forums related to the real estate sector.

In recent years, she has been invited by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to join the working group responsible for preparing a proposal to update the Civil Code.
