We advised IFC – International Finance Corporation on a subordinated loan of up to US$ 250 million granted to Banco de Crédito del Peru (BCP).
The loan serves two purposes: (i) strengthening BCP’s regulatory capital, as it qualifies as Tier 2 capital, and (ii) enabling BCP to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including those owned or led by women, as well as sustainable construction and climate-resilient agriculture projects.
Lawyers involved in the transaction: Jose Miguel Puiggros (Partner), Antonella Tirado (Associate) and Maria Claudia Tamayo (Associate).
