The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Managing the firm’s insurance policies in Spain and in foreign offices: renewing, negotiating and reviewing policies, designing the firm’s insurance strategy;
• Managing the firm’s risks (reputational, ethical, country, client, etc.);
• Designing the firm’s Universal Risk Map (URM);
• Reviewing and, where appropriate, designing new risk procedures;
• Controlling and managing the firm’s Risk Committee; and
• Managing the corporate aspects of the Spanish companies that make up the group.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a prestigious law firm or multinational in risk management and specifically in insurance, including claims management, negotiation and review of insurance policies.
• Experience and knowledge of corporate matters under Spanish law would be an asset.
