He brings his expertise to transactions in the Debt Capital Markets practice area

Pérez-Llorca has hired Carlos Pérez Dávila as a new partner of the firm in order to strengthen and develop the firm’s Debt Capital Markets practice area, covering capital markets and structured finance.

Pérez Dávila holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE. He lectures for several master’s programmes and is the author of numerous publications. He previously worked at an international firm and has been recognised by the directory Legal 500 as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ in the Debt Capital Markets practice area.

Pérez Dávila has extensive experience in the finance sector, having advised financial institutions, corporations and multinational companies throughout his professional career, on transactions involving structured finance, asset acquisitions (including distressed assets) and the issuance of debt securities (including asset securitisation), corporate bonds, regulatory capital, high yield bonds and debt securities in the mortgage sector. Pérez Dávila also has considerable experience advising financial institutions on banking and capital markets regulation. He has participated in many of the most innovative fixed income, securitisation and structured finance transactions to have taken place in Spain in recent years, including the first ever credit card securitisation carried out in Spain.

Pedro Pérez-Llorca, Senior Partner of the firm, said that “the appointment of Carlos Pérez Dávila as partner will allow us to reinforce our Debt Capital Markets practice area at the optimal time, given the growth of the practice and the increasing number of opportunities presented by the Spanish debt market”.

The hiring of Pérez Dávila follows that of Ana Cremades, State Advocate on leave of absence, as Counsel of the Public, Administrative and Regulatory Law practice area, as well as the promotion of six of the firm’s lawyers to partners: Jordi Farrés, Javier Muñoz, Juan Palomino, Laura Pérez, Álvaro Ramírez de Haro and Elena Veleiro.
