He has led transactional and regulatory advice for international and local clients in sectors such as financial services, infrastructure, aviation, advertising, technology, and mining. His practice focuses on corporate, asset-backed, and project financings, including the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of complex transactions. He is an adjunct professor of Corporate Transactions: a practical approach to common law and of International Commercial Law at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

Experience 

Andrés has a solid track record in banking and finance, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions, developed at top-tier law firms in Colombia. He has advised domestic and international clients on corporate and project financings, participating in the structuring, drafting, review, and negotiation of credit and security agreements, including trusts, security interests over fiduciary rights, subordinated debt, guarantees, and promissory notes. His experience includes coordinating due diligence processes in asset-backed finance, acquisition finance, and project finance transactions, as well as preparing and reviewing legal reports related to indebtedness. He has also been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions and corporate matters, drafting and reviewing share and asset purchase agreements, lease agreements, trust arrangements, and credit agreements. In addition, he has led junior associates and coordinated work with tax, infrastructure and public services, foreign exchange, international investments, and corporate teams. He has provided regional contractual support and advisory services to Amazon Web Services in Latin America and has assisted international financial institutions such as Barclays Bank and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank with regulatory matters related to the promotion of their products and services in Colombia. His career began with legal support roles in corporate governance and financial and aviation regulatory matters.
