These awards celebrate leading law firms—from both the private sector and in-house legal teams—that have contributed to the development of an increasingly sophisticated and competitive market. The recognitions are granted based on the independent, market-leading research that Legal 500 conducts for its annual directory.
During the ceremony, Pérez-Llorca, Gómez-Pinzón was distinguished as the Firm of the Year in the Capital Markets practice, in recognition of its outstanding performance in this area. Additionally, lawyers from the firm received the following individual awards:
Ricardo Fandiño de la Calle: Lawyer of the Year in Banking and Finance.
Lina Uribe: Lawyer of the Year in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
David Araque: Lawyer of the Year in Dispute Resolution.
Paola Larrahondo: Next Generation Partner of the Year in Public Law.
Nicolás Potdevin: Next Generation Partner in International Trade.
Furthermore, Fabio Humar, an allied firm of Pérez-Llorca, Gómez-Pinzón in corporate criminal law, was awarded Firm of the Year in Compliance.
“This recognition highlights the importance of legal judgment and the ability to support strategic decisions, now with a perspective that transcends the local and projects onto a regional level. That is the essence of our firm,” said Mauricio Piñeros, Managing Partner of Pérez-Llorca, Gómez-Pinzón.
The winners of the Legal 500 Colombia Awards are selected by a jury led by Tim Girven, Editor of Legal 500 Latin America, along with Joe Boswell, Head of In-house Research, other editors, and a team of more than 20 internal and independent researchers, all with extensive knowledge of the various practice areas. This same team is responsible for the annual preparation of the prestigious Legal 500 guide, using the same evidence base for the evaluation of firms and professionals.
