Since the beginning of his professional career, he has specialized in advising Colombian companies, financial institutions, and multilateral organizations on financing processes, debt and equity issuances in domestic and international markets, and the structuring of private equity and private debt funds, as well as other investment vehicles. He also leads a practice group focused on entrepreneurship, providing legal support to entrepreneurs. His extensive experience has positioned him as a reference in the Fintech market, participating as a mentor in recognized startup acceleration programs.

Experience

Since 1999, Daniel Londoño has built a solid legal career. Between 2004 and 2005, he worked as a legal fellow at a multilateral development organization, and later held associate and senior associate positions at prominent national and international law firms until becoming a partner in 2014.

His experience in structured finance, capital markets, and fund structuring has led him to advise on high-profile transactions, including the financing of senior living projects for Grupo Pegasus, the subscription of Banco de Bogotá’s first sustainable subordinated bond, and Trafigura’s financing of barges for the Magdalena River. He has also represented institutions such as IFC and IDB Invest in multiple bond issuances both in Colombia and abroad, and was involved in Banco Davivienda’s AT1 perpetual bond issuance.

His experience also includes transactions such as the financing for Advent’s acquisition of a stake in OCENSA, credit agreements for Almacenes Éxito, the financing for the acquisition of Banco Colpatria shares by Mercantil Colpatria, and the structuring of various private equity funds.
