Profile 

Since beginning her legal career in 2011, Marcela has focused on insolvency, corporate, commercial, and procedural law. She is an expert in reorganization, judicial liquidation, and cross-border insolvency proceedings. She served as rapporteur, coordinator, and judge in reorganization and simplified reorganization processes before the Superintendence of Companies.

Experience 

Marcela played a prominent role at the Superintendence of Companies, where she served as judge, coordinator, and rapporteur within the Delegation for Insolvency Proceedings. In that capacity, she was actively involved in the structuring, analysis, and resolution of business reorganization, judicial liquidation, and cross-border insolvency cases, allowing her to gain comprehensive technical and judicial knowledge of the Colombian insolvency regime. 

Her current practice focuses on providing strategic support to companies and creditors facing financial distress, combining her regulatory experience with a practical, solution-oriented approach aimed at achieving sustainable outcomes.
