Profile 

Since she began her professional practice in 2002, Yamile has focused on foreign trade, public and private sectors. She has extensive knowledge in customs legislation, trade agreements, tariff classification, procedures before control authorities to apply for authorisations as Authorized Economic Operator and International Marketing Companies, is familiar with the Franco Regime and Plan Vallejo, the logistical operations of export and import by ports and airports, cost analysis and the process necessary to export and import, this includes permits to control authorities, strategic organization and planning of foreign trade operations.

  • Master in International Taxation, Foreign, Trade and Customs, Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2020. 
  • Customs Law Specialist, Universidad Externado de Colombia, 2006. 
  • Economy, Universidad La Salle, 2002. 

She speaks Spanish and English.

Experience 

Yamile has a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors. She began her professional trajectory at the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs (DIAN), where from 2004 to 2016 she held roles as Head of the Customs Operations Division and Auditor of the Customs Investigations Group, gaining extensive experience in auditing, customs control, and regulatory compliance. Subsequently, between 2018 and 2023, she served as Manager of MAUNAZ SAS, leading projects related to customs operations and international trade. From 2023 to 2024, she worked as an independent consultant in foreign trade, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification, and risk management.
