Since he began his professional practice in 2002, Juan Guillermo has focused on the prevention, design, and implementation of strategies in civil, and administrative litigation and national and international arbitration. Juan Guillermo has experience in public and private procurement, negotiation, design, and implementation of complex civil and commercial contracts, and has provided advice on issues related to public and private tenders, and contractual sanctioning procedures before state entities. Trilingual with multicultural experience and excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Experience 

Juan Guillermo began his career in the Arbitration Group of a prominent international firm based in Europe, where he worked from 2007 to 2009 handling transnational dispute resolution. He later joined a local law firm as a Senior Litigation Attorney and, in 2011, became Director of the Litigation Group at a global law firm with operations in Colombia, a role he held until 2019. During that time, he led complex litigation strategies and advised domestic and international clients on commercial disputes. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as an independent attorney, providing specialized counsel in arbitration and litigation matters. In 2023, he joined Gómez-Pinzón Abogados as a Senior Associate, becoming part of the Firm’s dispute resolution team.
