Lina has extensive knowledge of environmental law, developed since the beginning of her professional career in 2009. Her focus is on the environmental regulations applicable to various economic sectors, with special attention to the legal frameworks governing activities that impact the natural environment. She is an expert in key areas such as the structure of the Colombian environmental legal regime, the regulations applicable to mining and energy projects, permitting and licensing legislation, as well as environmental oversight and sanction systems. She also has a strong command of environmental legal audits and the interpretation of regulations for legal decision-making in environmental matters.

Experience
Lina Correa began her professional career in 2009 in the social sector, working on citizen participation initiatives. She later held roles as a legal auditor and coordinator of environmental audits, and subsequently joined corporate law firms as an associate. In 2015, she became part of Pérez-Llorca, where she has built a strong trajectory in the Energy & Natural Resources practice.
Throughout her career, she has developed deep expertise in Colombian environmental regulations, particularly in the context of due diligence and legal reviews for acquisitions, concessions, and investments across strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy, mining, manufacturing, and retail. She has worked on environmental matters for companies like Hitachi, Yanbal, Clorox, Cenit, PriceSmart, CMPC, and Cryogas, and has participated in major transactions including the acquisition of Zona Franca Celsia by Enfragen and the Briceño-Tunja-Sogamoso road concession.
