Since beginning her professional career in 1990, Paula has focused on the real estate sector, advising real estate investment funds, project developers, builders, shopping centers, and retail chains. She also advises multiple educational institutions on all regulatory aspects, and is recognized in Colombia and across the region for promoting pro bono practice within the legal sector.

Experience
Paula Samper has been a partner at Gómez-Pinzón since 1992 and brings extensive experience advising on complex and strategic real estate transactions in Colombia. She has led the development of facilities for Orpea, the acquisition of properties by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and has provided ongoing real estate counsel to companies such as PriceSmart, Titularizadora Colombiana, and Cinépolis. She has also supported the expansion of Innova Schools in Colombia, including the acquisition of land, educational entities, and licenses, and has structured comprehensive legal strategies for private educational institutions.
In addition to her legal practice, Paula has been a leading voice in advancing pro bono work in the region. She was part of the Drafting Committee for the Pro Bono Declaration of the Americas, an initiative led by the Cyrus R. Vance Center (New York), and currently serves as Chair of Fundación Pro-Bono Colombia. She has also taken part in regional efforts to promote women’s leadership in the legal profession, in collaboration with the Vance Center’s Women in the Profession Committee.
