Organización Terpel S.A., within the framework of its energy transition and revenue diversification strategy, has entered into a share purchase agreement with Generadora 205 S.L., a Spanish subsidiary of Climate Fund Managers, and ERCO Energía S.A.S., to acquire 100% of the shares of Pétalo del Norte de Santander I S.A.S. ESP and 100% of the fiduciary rights over the autonomous trust estate Pétalo del Norte, which own a 26.4 MWp solar photovoltaic plant located in Norte de Santander, Colombia.
Closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the antitrust clearance.
This acquisition aligns with Terpel’s business diversification strategy, expanding its presence beyond the traditional liquid fuels segment and strengthening its positioning in the renewable energy sector and Colombia’s energy transition. It also reflects increased confidence in solar infrastructure investments and contributes to the expansion of non-conventional renewable energy capacity in the country, reinforcing Colombia’s transition toward a more sustainable and diversified energy matrix.
