Mexico Toolkit for the Escazú Agreement

10/12/2025

Our lawyers Óscar Moreno, Ana Bobadilla, Priscila Adalid, Pamela Velázquez, María José Sánchez, Andrea Morales, Regina Jordan and Ricardo Lozano collaborated with the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International and the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice in developing the Mexico toolkit for the Escazú Agreement.

Presented during COP30, this toolkit is part of the Women for the Escazú Agreement initiative, which seeks to strengthen the implementation of the Agreement throughout Latin America and support women land defenders and frontline communities. The guide provides practical tools to understand the national legal framework and the mechanisms to effectively exercise the rights to access environmental information, public participation and environmental justice, as well as the protection of environmental defenders. Through this collaboration, Pérez-Llorca reaffirms its commitment to Pro Bono work and to the promotion of human and environmental rights in the region.

You may consult the full document and additional information about the project on WECAN’s official website or by clicking here.
