Plans to Classify Workplace Violence

In the interview, Luis Enrique explained that this reform aligns Mexico’s legislation with ILO Convention No. 190, already ratified by the country. The amendment introduces the general concept of workplace violence, which encompasses sexual harassment, workplace harassment, and gender-based harassment and establishes employers’ obligations to prevent, address, and sanction such conduct.
The proposal reinforces corporate responsibility in ensuring safe work environments and implementing effective internal reporting and investigation mechanisms.
