Javier has been an associate at Pérez-Llorca since 2014. He has more than thirteen years of experience in the corporate field, advising domestic and international clients. His practice focuses on the structuring, negotiation, and implementation of transactions related to the acquisition, merger, and reorganization of companies, as well as on securities market regulation and commercial and corporate law.

Experience

He specializes in advising on domestic and regional mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, with a particular focus on transactions involving listed companies and regulated sectors.

Among the transactions in which he has participated are the acquisition of CrediScotia Financiera by Banco Santander, the acquisition of Seguros Sura and Hipotecaria Sura by Intercorp Financial Services, as well as the tender offer by IG4 Capital in Aenza and the tender offer by China Southern Power Grid in Pluz Energía Perú. He has also advised on the acquisition of companies in various sectors such as Minka, Protecta Security, Grupo Navent, Centelsa, La Positiva Seguros, and Intralot.

Academic and Publishing Collaborations

Javier is currently a professor of Corporate Operations at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and Corporate Law in the Master’s program at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Additionally, he was a teaching assistant at PUCP in corporate and commercial law courses.
