José Daniel Amado specialises in corporate law, infrastructure projects and international arbitration, having been involved in some of the most significant local and international corporate disputes and the most important transactions relating to Peru in recent decades.

  • Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge (Visiting Fellow, 2013 and 2015); Centre of Latin American Studies (Visiting Scholar, 2013).
  • Master of Laws (LL.M.), Harvard University (Recipient of the Laylin Prize in International Law).

Experience

His experience includes participation in some of the most significant disputes and transactions related to Peru in recent decades. He also has an outstanding international career in Washington, D.C. and London, and has held public office as Chief of Staff of the Advisory Cabinet to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He has also served in leading global institutions, including the ICC, the IBA, AMCHAM-Peru, CACCL, CIAM-CIAR, Delos Dispute Resolution, and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). In addition, he has served on the boards of directors of several publicly listed companies in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile.
