María Teresa joined the firm in 2017 and is part of the Corporate – Mergers & Acquisitions practice group, where she advises domestic and international companies on corporate law, corporate governance, and commercial law matters.

Experience

María Teresa has experience in structuring, negotiating, and implementing mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate reorganizations, and other corporate transactions, as well as in corporate and commercial law.

Her practice also includes general corporate advisory, including corporate governance matters, incorporation and operation of companies and associations, implementation of corporate resolutions, drafting and review of commercial contracts, and handling related registry matters.

Academic and Publishing Collaborations

María Teresa has served as an extraordinary Member of THEMIS and adjunct professor for the Corporations course at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She is also the author of articles on corporate law and corporate governance and co-author of the thesis “Directors’ Liability in Corporate Groups: A Scenario Not Addressed by the General Corporations Law”, prepared to obtain her law degree.
