Omar’s practice focuses on judicial litigation and arbitration, primarily advising corporations in civil, commercial, and administrative litigation proceedings, with particular emphasis on constitutional proceedings, including amparo, habeas data, enforcement, and accion popular actions.

Experience
Omar joined the firm as an associate in 2023. Throughout his career, he has represented domestic and international companies across various sectors, including mining, hydrocarbons, telecommunications, infrastructure, and the fishing industry, particularly in amparo proceedings related to regulatory, environmental, and tax disputes, among others. Additionally, through his pro bono work, he has represented individuals in defense of their fundamental rights.
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
He is an honorary member of the Constitutional Law Workshop at the National University of San Marcos.
He is an associate member of the Research Group on Procedure, Law, and Justice (PRODEJUS) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
He is an adjunct professor for the course “Seminar on Constitutional Law and Constitutional Procedural Law” at the National University of San Marcos.
He has authored research articles on constitutional procedural law, such as “Repealed Self-Executing Rules: Criteria for Their Admissibility in the Peruvian Amparo Process” and “Notes on the Immediate Effect of First-Instance Judgments and Their Non-Appealable Nature,” among others.
His undergraduate thesis, titled “The limitations on evidence in the amparo process and their potential violation of the right to access to justice: The case of exclusive claims in the amparo process,” was approved with a grade of 20 and a distinction of “Highest Honors.”
