You will be working in a leading law firm. You define the limits of your own career and we will help you achieve your professional goals. We want you to share our commitment to excellence through the following:

Ongoing Training Plan

  • National and international external training: We encourage continuous training for lawyers once they have joined the firm, as this allows them to specialise in specific or new areas and fosters ongoing contact with the academic and professional world through courses, seminars and conferences organised by prestigious institutions.

We believe that a true professional should be constantly learning and building on their knowledge and we take this into consideration in the career plans we design for each lawyer. After several years practising law we believe that it is crucial to stay up to date or to study certain areas in ever greater detail. At Pérez-Llorca, we believe in your career and we support this process in a number of different ways:

  • Financial support: We fully or partially finance postgraduate or Master’s studies in the US as long as the interest and commitment between the professional and the firm are mutual.
  • Recommendations: We provide individual and institutional references in order to facilitate admission onto the programme of your choice.
  • Support groups: We put those who are interested in touch with groups of lawyers, partners and/or alumni, who have had the same concerns and have gone through the same experience, so that they can offer their advice.

International Opportunities

Pérez-Llorca has five offices abroad in Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Bogotá, Brussels, Lisbon, Lima, London, Madrid, Medellín, Mexico City, Monterrey, New York and Singapore. Our offices assist Pérez-Llorca’s clients with the development of their projects and serves as a gateway for our firm to collaborate closely with local firms.

Studying an LL.M.

Ensuring our professionals receive international training is one of our main objectives, which is why we strongly encourage our lawyers to study an LL.M. abroad. To support this, we have the “Study an LL.M. (PLL.M.)”  programme, through which we manage this training and guide you through the process.

In addition, the firm can help you to find funding resources and has an Advisory Committee made up of LL.M. alumni and the HR team that advises those interested in this experience and provides all the information needed to make the decision to study an LL.M., as well as to navigate the entire admission process.

Studying for an LL.M. is an exciting milestone in a lawyer’s career, as it enables you to acquire a more global vision of the law, network, improve your professional English, qualify in another country, or work as a secondee in international firms, among other benefits.

Career plan
We evaluate each lawyer’s individual performance and provide them with feedback, either annually or every five months in the case of lawyers who are carrying out seats. This is how we discover each lawyer’s strengths as well as their professional and personal interests, facilitating their development and progress at the firm.

Sustainability: Pro Bono activity and C4C volunteering scheme

Through the Sustainability department, and especially through Pro Bono initiatives, we work to support the most vulnerable people and communities, guided by a deep sense of ethics and service to others. We believe sustainability is not simply a responsibility, but a way of creating social transformation, and encourage our professionals to get involved in projects that promote justice, equity and the development of opportunities. This work is framed by the values that inspire and give meaning to the legal profession, and which guide our commitment to society.

The Collaborate4Change (C4C) Plan is an additional corporate volunteering initiative that expands this commitment through charitable activities and sporting events aimed at supporting vulnerable groups. Through these initiatives, we seek to strengthen communities and contribute to the creation of a more humane and supportive environment committed to the pursuit of the common good.

We would love to have your support for these projects.

Equal Opportunities for All

Diversity has always been one of our strengths. We constantly strive to perfect our assessment policies and procedures to bring them in line with the skills and qualifications of individuals.

Some of Our Initiatives:

BENEFITS PLAN FOR LGBTIQ+ COUPLES:

The firm affords LGBTIQ+ couples and heterosexual and common-law marriages equal rights to private medical insurance. Protection is offered to couples through a travel accidental death insurance and compensation is paid accordingly.

Likewise, we grant birth and adoption leaves of absence for LGBTIQ+ couples, under the same conditions as for heterosexual couples. We also grant leaves of absence both in the event of an accident or serious illness of a direct relative and in the event of the death of a direct relative, acknowledging this link within the group of direct relatives.

Although Peruvian law does not acknowledge these rights, Miranda & Amado grants them based on its non-discrimination policy regarding gender or sexual orientation.

Flexibility plan:

The firm has implemented working arrangements, such as i) Flextime and Part- time Programs, offering reduced working hours vis-à-vis the firm’s official schedule; ii) Temporary Home Office, enabling lawyers to work remotely from their homes or any other location outside the office, half a day, two to four times a week; and iii) Full-time Home Office, enabling lawyers to work remotely from their homes, in Peru or abroad. Proper contact with the firm is ensured through regular interaction on digital channels.

More days of maternity and paternity leave:

Our law firm grants one hundred days of paid maternity leave and ten days of paid paternity leave, although not mandated by law, nor established as a regular market practice.
