Since joining the firm in 2009, Juan David’s career has focused on advising a wide range of clients on local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as structuring private equity funds, joint ventures across various industries, and corporate group reorganizations. Juan David has advised major local and multinational companies on the acquisition and sale of private and publicly listed companies, as well as on regulated processes such as tender offers, pre-arranged transactions on the stock market, privatizations under Law 226 of 1995, and corporate reorganizations through mergers, spin-offs, and transformations, transactions that have often required prior approval from government authorities in Colombia and abroad. Additionally, he is admitted to practice law in Colombia and the state of New York.

Juan David has been a partner at Pérez-Llorca since 2020 and has advised prominent local and international companies on acquisition, sale, and corporate reorganization processes in both private and public markets.
He has been involved in notable transactions, including the acquisition of Computec by Experian Finance, Duratex’s second tender offer to acquire Tablemac, and corporate reorganizations for companies such as Ecopetrol, Bavaria, and Valorem. He has also advised on the acquisition of Empresas Públicas de Rionegro by EPM, the Gilinski family’s tender offers for Nutresa and Sura, and the purchase of strategic assets such as Termovalle and Zona Franca Celsia by EnfraGen, Centelsa by Nexans, and Banco ProCredit by Credifinanciera.
