Pérez-Llorca acted as local legal counsel to International Finance Corporation (IFC) on the structuring, negotiation and closing of a financing facility granted to Banco de Bogotá S.A. for up to USD 150,000,000, structured in three tranches and documented through a Loan Agreement and a Common Terms Agreement governed by the laws of the State of New York, aimed at the origination of sub-loans for: (i) sustainable construction projects certified under the Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) Advanced standard or comparable international certifications; (ii) small and medium enterprises; and (iii) companies undergoing technological conversion and operational efficiency improvements.
The transaction reinforces IFC’s and Banco de Bogotá’s commitment to supporting sustainable economic growth in Colombia, enabling beneficiary companies to access long-term financing to modernize their productive processes, improve their energy and water efficiency, adopt more efficient technologies and strengthen their competitiveness.
