Mexico’s Supreme Court Upholds the Financial Intelligence Unit’s Authority to Freeze Bank Accounts and Departs from Prior Jurisprudence

Mexico's Supreme Court of Justice upheld the Financial Intelligence Unit's authority to order bank account freezes and, in two separate cases, departed from prior jurisprudence that had restricted such measure to cases arising from international treaty commitments and subject to a formal express request to that effect.
