Profile

José Ignacio Rivero Andere has over 20 years of experience providing legal and business advice to domestic and foreign clients in Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Private Equity, Corporate, Banking and Finance, and Capital Markets, in a wide range of sectors, including in multi-million domestic and cross-border transactions. He is head of the Mergers & Acquisitions and co-head of the Banking & Financial Services practices in Pérez Llorca Mexico.

Furthermore, outside of his legal practice, He founded and is the Chairman of the Fundación Dr. José Ignacio Rivero Cosme, Más Allá del Cáncer, a non-profit organization that helps low income patients fight cancer.

Experience

He has served on the board of directors of several companies, including Aleatica, one of the biggest infrastructure and toll road companies in Mexico; Crédito Maestro, one of Mexico’s leading non-bank payroll lending firms; and Bravo, a major credit repair business with operations across Europe and Latin America. He currently splits his time between Pérez Llorca’s Mexico and NY offices and acts as the firm’s liaison for Mexico and LATAM for the US and the Canadian markets.
