The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) recently published new Operational Guidelines introducing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the scheduling, execution, and follow-up of labor inspections. Through the SIDIL system, the STPS will identify risk patterns and carry out more technical, automated inspections with less tolerance for administrative errors. Inter-institutional collaboration with other federal agencies will also broaden the scope of inspections. This shift reflects a move towards more proactive and data-driven labor oversight.
