The IMSS will implement the biometric validation of insured workers in its “IMSS Digital” application for the consultation and payment of temporary disability benefits

The Agreement published on October 30, 2025 allows insured workers to validate their identity using biometric data, with the same legal effect as a handwritten signature. This will enable them to check their disability benefits and update banking details for payment. The service will first launch for digital platform workers, then expand to other insured individuals, prioritizing maternity cases.
