How Many Days of Paternity Leave Do Workers Get in Latin America?

Juan José Soto noted that, despite the intense reform activity the Federal Labour Law has undergone in recent years, extending paternity leave remains an outstanding issue in Mexico. In that context, he highlighted that, although reforms aimed at improving workers’ quality of life have recently been promoted, this right has yet to be adjusted.
The Pérez-Llorca Partner also underscored the human dimension of the debate, pointing out that time spent with children is a central element in the experience of fatherhood, and that its value is particularly relevant in the design of more balanced labour policies.
