Joaquín joined Pérez-Llorca in September 2018. Prior to this, he carried out work experience in Pérez-Llorca’s Public Law practice, in the legal department of Renfe-Operadora and at a Madrid firm.

Experience

Joaquín is a member of the Public Law and Litigation practice area, specialising in claims for damages arising from competition law infringements and litigation against public authorities.

Litigation of damages arising from competition law infringements

Joaquín advises domestic and international clients on commercial litigation for damages arising from competition law infringements. In particular, Joaquín specialises in handling and coordinating highly complex matters, with implications in multiple European jurisdictions, in the automotive, agri-food, energy and financial sectors, among others.

Joaquín also has extensive experience in the oral defence of clients’ interests before Commercial Courts throughout Spain.

Litigation against public authorities

Joaquín also advises domestic and international clients on litigation against public administrations, both in administrative and judicial proceedings in civil and contentious-administrative matters. Specifically, his activity focuses on transport (air, land and rail), consumers and users, subsidies, public works contracts, sanctioning procedures, among other matters.

Lastly, Joaquín has experience in advising on commercial transactions involving the sale and purchase of assets subject to administrative law, mainly in the field of transport.
