As of September 10, 2026, the Employer Identification Card (TIP) will no longer be issued in physical format and will instead be available digitally through the IMSS Mailbox, using the employer’s e-signature.
Under the new scheme, up to three authorized individuals may be designated for each Employer Registration, with their identity and the validity of the TIP being verified by the IMSS when carrying out procedures before its Administrative Subdelegations.
In preparation for this change, companies should prioritize verifying that their IMSS Mailbox is enabled, their e-signature remains valid, and the information of authorized individuals is up to date, particularly for companies with multiple Employer Registrations.
