Pérez-Llorca receives four awards at the 8th Edition of the Iberian Lawyer ‘Forty Under 40′ awards

Fernando Bedoya, Javier Gómez and Carlos Pérez Dávila have been recognised as the best lawyers on the Iberian Peninsula under 40 years of age in the areas of Arbitration, M&A and Banking & Finance, and the firm has received the award for the best Private Equity team.

Fernando Bedoya, Javier Gómez and Carlos Pérez Dávila, partners at Pérez-Llorca, have had their professional careers recognised at the latest edition of Iberian Lawyer’s ‘Forty under 40’ awards that were presented yesterday in Lisbon. These awards mark the three partners as the best lawyers under 40 years of age in the Iberian Peninsula in the areas of Arbitration, M&A and Banking & Finance.

The firm also received the award for the best Private Equity team. This award is in recognition of the team’s work on advising major private equity funds on some of the most significant transactions that have taken place both in Spain and abroad.

Fernando Bedoya has been working at Pérez-Llorca since 2009 and made partner in 2018. He holds degrees in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), and since joining the firm he has participated in the resolution of particularly large and complex civil and commercial disputes. Bedoya is also an arbitrator for the Spanish Arbitration Club and was a member of its management board.

Javier Gómez joined Pérez-Llorca in 2009 and made partner in 2018. He holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III, and is an expert in M&A and capital markets transactions, including listings, takeover bids and capital increases for listed companies.

Carlos joined Pérez-Llorca in September 2019 as Partner of the Debt Capital Markets practice. Pérez Dávila holds degrees in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). He specialises in finance law and has advised financial institutions, funds, corporations and multinational companies on complex structured finance transactions, as well as on issues of all types of debt instruments. Pérez Dávila also leads the firm’s Financial Regulation practice.

These names join the following lawyers from Pérez-Llorca who have won in previous editions: In 2007, Pedro Pérez-Llorca, the firm’s Senior Partner, who also won ‘Best Lawyer at a Law Firm’; in 2009, Javier Carvajal, a partner in the Corporate practice; in 2011, Adriana de Buerba, a partner in the White Collar Crime practice; in 2013, Guillermina Ester and Félix J. Montero, partners in the Litigation and Arbitration practice, as well as Carmen Reyna and Alejandro Osma, partners in the corporate practice, with Alejandro Osma also receiving one of three special awards from the jury, the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’; in 2015, Iván Delgado, Pablo González Mosqueira and Julio Lujambio, also partners in the Corporate practice, and in 2017, Elena Veleiro, a partner in the Public Law practice.
