Profile

Julio Acinas joined the Brussels office in 2026 as Counsel. He specialises in Public Law, Regulated Sectors, and EU Law.

Studies:

• 2008 Degree in Law, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Prize for Academic Achievement)
• 2009 Degree in Business Administration, C.U. Villanueva

He speaks Spanish, English and French.

Experience

Julio has over 15 years’ experience advising companies, investment funds, private equity firms and institutions on matters relating to public law, public procurement, European legislation, sector-specific regulation and foreign investment (FDI and others). He also brings a wealth of experience as a general counsel in multinational companies, further strengthening his ability to provide high-value-added international advice.

Academic and publishing collaborations

He is currently a lecturer on the Master’s degree in Energy and Energy Transition at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE).

He previously taught on the Master’s degree programme in Legal Practice at the Centro Universitario Villanueva.
