Profile

Sébastien Coquard is a Corporate and Infrastructure partner in Pérez-Llorca’s Lisbon office. Sébastien has extensive experience in M&A and infrastructure in emerging markets, particularly in Africa and Latin America, advising on complex cross-border transactions and large-scale project development.

Prior to joining Pérez-Llorca, he worked at one of the leading private conglomerates in the maritime transport, port terminals and logistics sector, where he led M&A transactions across different regions and was involved in negotiating complex commercial contracts. He also advised several of the group’s boards of directors, on which he held positions.

He joined Pérez-Llorca in 2025.

He is fluent in Portuguese, French, Spanish and English.

Experience

Sébastien has close to 15 years of experience throughout Africa, Latin America and Europe, with an in-depth understanding of the international infrastructure, transportation and logistics market. He brings an established track record in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring and capital markets transactions, in key sectors such as transport, logistics, energy and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Throughout his career, he has advised on complex cross-border transactions involving both private and public entities and has been actively involved in the structuring and negotiation of strategic alliances and investment projects in emerging markets. His experience also includes advising boards of directors and senior management on corporate governance and strategic matters.
