Sara joined the Lisbon office of Pérez-Llorca in 2025. Prior to this, she was part of the Banking and Finance team of a Portuguese law firm and worked as a Foreign Attorney in the Capital Markets department in a New York firm.

Experience
As a senior lawyer in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets areas, she has been actively involved in various types of transactions, such as the issuance and placement of debt instruments and other transferable securities, classic, structured and project finance, as well as securitisation transactions.
In addition to advising clients on banking and capital markets regulatory issues, she was on secondment at two financial institutions in Portugal (2023-2025), where she was responsible for legal advice in the area of derivatives. She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating derivative contracts, in particular ISDA contracts.
