Cristina González Silvestre joined Pérez-Llorca in February 2020, having previously completed work experience at the firm as part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession.

Prior to joining, Cristina also completed work experience in BBVA’s Department of Institutional Legal Services (General Secretariat).

Experience

Cristina is part of the Public Law and European Union Law practice in the Madrid office. In 2023 and 2024, she was part of the European Union Law practice in the Brussels office.

Cristina advises clients in civil proceedings and has extensive experience in defending her clients’ interests before courts throughout Spain.

She also has in-depth knowledge of the institutions and legal system of the European Union, both substantive and procedural, as a result of the experience she has acquired through her participation in various proceedings before the institutions and bodies of the European Union. These include her interventions before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union in matters relating to consumer protection, public procurement, state aid, transport and banking law.

Publishing collaborations

Cristina has contributed to different publications and specialised journals, including:

  • Contributed to the book “Estudios jurídicos sobre sostenibilidad: cambio climático y criterios ESG en España y la Unión Europea”, Aranzadi, 2022.
  • Contributed to the Pérez-Llorca Legal Journal of May 2022 with the chapter “El TJUE avala limitar los honorarios de los abogados del consumidor a un importe razonable y proporcionado en los litigios sobre cláusulas abusivas. Sentencia del TJUE de 7 de abril de 2022”.
