Javier joined Pérez-Llorca in 2015 and forms part of the Litigation and Arbitration team. Javier’s professional experience focuses on commercial litigation before the Spanish Courts and Tribunals, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations.

Experience

Litigation

Javier advises in civil and commercial judicial proceedings before courts of all instances on matters including construction, engineering, energy, challenging corporate resolutions, corporate directors liability, unfair competition, insolvency proceedings, new technologies and the recognition and enforcement of judgments.

Arbitration

Javier has extensive experience in commercial and investment arbitrations, related to post-M&A disputes, joint ventures, the construction of transport infrastructures, energy, and construction contracts, among others. Internationally, Javier has taken part in arbitrations before the Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce, and before the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). He has taken part in domestic arbitrations before the Madrid Court of Arbitration (CAM), the Spanish Court of Arbitration (CEA) and the Civil and Commercial Court of Arbitration (CIMA). He also has experience in the setting aside, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.
