Javier joined Pérez-Llorca in 2015 and forms part of the Litigation and Arbitration team. Javier’s professional experience focuses on commercial litigation before the Spanish Courts and Tribunals, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations.

Experience

Litigation

Javier advises in civil and commercial judicial proceedings before courts of all instances on matters including construction, energy, civil liability, challenging corporate resolutions, corporate directors liability, banking law, financial securities, unfair competition, horizontal property, tort law, and the recognition and enforcement of judgments.

Arbitration

Javier has extensive experience in commercial and investment arbitrations, related to joint ventures, the construction of transport infrastructures, energy, and construction contracts, among others. At an international level, Javier has taken part in arbitrations before the ICC International Court of Arbitration and before the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Nationally, he has taken part in arbitrations before the Arbitration Court of Madrid (CAM) and the Spanish Court of Arbitration (CEA). He also has experience in proceedings for the annulment, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.
