Profile

Joana Valente Neves is a lawyer in the Lisbon office’s Banking and Finance practice area. Before joining Pérez-Llorca, she practised as a lawyer in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets department of a Portuguese law firm. Joana has been with Pérez-Llorca since 2026.

Studies

Experience

Joana provides legal advice to domestic and international clients on regulatory matters in the banking and financial sector. She has experience advising credit institutions, financial companies, financial intermediaries, credit securitisation companies, and management companies of collective investment schemes.

She also has experience in banking and finance law, including large-scale transactions and financings in Portugal, particularly in the infrastructure sector. She has participated in classic, structured and project finance transactions, as well as securitisation operations. Her experience further encompasses the preparation of due diligence processes in the financial and corporate spheres.
