Jorge joined Pérez-Llorca in April 2020. Before joining the firm, he spent seven years working as a lawyer at prestigious criminal law firms.

He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
Experience
Jorge has been practising in the field of criminal law since 2012. His practice encompasses the criminal defence of companies and executives before the main Spanish criminal courts, the conduct of complex internal investigations – including matters with a cross-border dimension and coordination with teams and authorities from various jurisdictions – and advice on criminal compliance matters. He is part of the firm’s French Desk, where he advises on matters with implications in French-speaking jurisdictions.
He also advises on the design and implementation of criminal compliance programmes, on criminal risk assessments in the context of M&A processes, and on the implementation of Law 2/2023 on the protection of whistleblowers. His practice also includes the analysis of EU restrictive measures regimes and their potential impact on business operations, including their application in corporate transactions.
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
He is the author of specialist publications for leading legal publishers, including Tirant lo Blanch, Aranzadi Thomson Reuters and La Ley. His most recent work focuses on the criminalisation of the European Union’s restrictive measures, Spanish legislation on the protection of whistleblowers, and the criminal liability of legal persons. He regularly appears as a speaker and panellist at specialist events on international sanctions, criminal compliance and corporate criminal liability.
