Marta Velasco joined Pérez-Llorca in 2014. Previously, she worked as a lawyer in the Legal department of a leading company in the environmental sector and a renowned Spanish law firm, where she operated principally in the Public Law, Real Estate and Litigation and Arbitration departments. She also worked as a lawyer in a Spanish firm focused on the aviation sector.

Studies:

• 2014 Executive Master’s degree in Land Planning and Zoning, CEU Business School, Madrid
• 2012 Degree in Law and Diploma in Business Administration, Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE)

She speaks Spanish and English.

Experience

Marta is part of Pérez-Llorca’s public law practice area and provides advice in the land planning, environment, infrastructure and construction department.

Marta provides legal advice to Spanish and international companies, investment funds, public administrations and land planning entities, with a focus on:

• Advice at a national level on the drafting, processing and follow-up of land planning instruments and management, as well as on the procedure for obtaining the corresponding administrative authorisations and permits.
• Legal advice before the civil and administrative courts, as well as in proceedings conducted through administrative channels.
• Collaboration on all types of real estate transactions pertaining to residential, commercial, touristic, industrial and logistical plots of land, ongoing building projects and finished products.

Marta has participated as a speaker in:

• The “Most Promising Lawyers” section in the “Leading women in the legal profession in Spain 2020” webinar organised by Economist & Jurist to commemorate International Women’s Day.
• The land planning conference “Large Urban Planning Project Series. Developments in the South-East of Madrid” organised by the Association of Civil Engineers.
• The land planning conference entitled “Think Tank – New developments in Madrid. The South-East: an opportunity to improve the housing market?” organised by Pérez-Llorca and ACTIVUM Servicios Inmobiliarios.
• Capital Radio’s Real Estate Investment Programme, debating Madrid’s land planning developments in 2019.
