João joined Pérez-Llorca in Lisbon in 2025 as an associate in the Competition, European Union and Regulatory practice in the Lisbon office. Between 2022 and 2025, and prior to joining Pérez-Llorca, he was a member of the Corporate/M&A and European and Competition teams of a renowned Portuguese law firm.

Experience

João focuses his practice on competition law, European Union and regulation. He advises national and international clients from a variety of sectors on various matters of merger control, distribution systems, state aid and anti-competitive practices. He also has experience in advising clients on matters relating to the foreign investment analysis regime.
