Ane Basterretxea joined Pérez-Llorca in 2020, having previously completed work experience at the firm as part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession.
Studies:

Experience
Ane is part of Pérez-Llorca’s public law practice area and provides advice in the land planning, environment, infrastructure and construction department.
Ane provides legal advice to Spanish and international companies, investment funds, public administrations and land planning entities, with a focus on:
- Due diligence of assets in terms of land planning and environmental matters in the framework of real estate and financing transactions.
- Drafting legal reports assets in terms of land planning and environmental matters (e.g. plots of land, ongoing works and finished products in the industrial, residential, commercial and tourism sectors) with significant involvement in the implementation and development of residential care home and renewable energy projects located in various autonomous communities (e.g. analysis of the compliance with land planning and environmental obligations, environmental permits, land planning licences, land planning compatibility permits, zoning, land planning instruments, sanctioning proceedings, among others).
- The analysis of complex land planning situations through drafting legal briefings, reports and writs, as well as the analysis of the implications of sectoral regulations with an impact on the development of plots of land or implementation of real estate projects (e.g. land planning and environmental compatibility of projects in terms of energy, segregations, etc.).
- Legal advice on environmental permits, waste matters and Red Natura 2000.
- Processing all types of permits and administrative, land planning and environmental authorisations.
- Litigation on land planning and environmental matters in the administrative and contentious-administrative field.

Ane is actively involved in writing reviews and articles in Pérez-Llorca’s land planning and environment department newsletter.
